CALENDAR
ANGLESEY ADVENTURE - Thursday 11th June
Come and join us for our first away-day in Anglesey. We start with a visit to Plas Newydd, the National Trust property on the banks of the Menai Strait; a 3-hour stop to enjoy a coffee, visit the house with its famous Whistler mural, stroll around the gardens and have lunch (either in the café or bring a picnic).
In the afternoon we take a short drive over to the Newborough National Nature Reserve for our Nordic Walk following one of the trails through the forest and down to the beach with the dramatic backdrop of Snowdonia in full view. The bus will then take us on to the Tyn-y-Coed pub in Capel Curig for a 2-course meal evening meal and then back to Wrexham.
The list for this event will be open at our Erddig walk on Saturday 9th May – cost is £35 - all inclusive (bus & 2-course evening meal) - in an envelope please.
Itinerary for the day looks like this (more details to follow near the time).
• Bus leaves Wrexham 8.30 am
• Plas Newydd – 3 hour visit
• Newborough Forest walk – around 4 miles – approx 2 hours – easy going
• Tyn-y-Coed – 2 course meal (menu to follow)
• Bus arrives back in Wrexham around 9.30 pm
